The West Elk Wilderness and the Gunnison National Forest offer many opportunities for great Elk hunting.  Archery season, starting in late August and ending in late September, is a great time to be in the high country.  You can hear the bugles coming from all around, music to an elk hunters ears.  Muzzleloader and rifle seasons are just as exciting. The West Elk Wilderness and the Gunnison National Forest offer many opportunities for trophy class elk.

All hunts are 5 days with one day  of travel on each end to get you to and from the lodge.  Muzzleloader, first rifle and fourth rifle are draw seasons so you need to have your application in to the Colorado Division of Wildlife by the first of April.  Give us a call when you’re ready and we can give you a few tips for the drawing process.
